Dear Festival Enthusiast.
The Pasifika Vibes Festival 2011 is a non-profit event managed by volunteers from within the local
community. If your business would like to take part, it’s ‘back in the Bay’ on Monday 2 May, 2011.
Sponsorship and in-kind support will ensure that the day is a success. Funds generated by the food &
market stalls through site fees, together with grants from other sources, are used to assist in the provision
of children’s activities, live entertainment, advertising and amenities. The provision of such activities and
equipment ensures a huge attendance. In turn, community groups and stallholders enjoy the benefits of
fundraising activities and sales respectively.
The organizing committee’s strategic goals are to:
• Celebrate and unify the locally diverse populations of Pacific Island Nations
• Educate and share with non-Pacific Islanders the arts and traditions of our ethnic populations to
support and preserve cultural harmony
• Build intergenerational and intercultural bridges across all barriers
• Create awareness of Pasifika resourced programs and what they contribute back into the local
community; and
• Generate funding to support those programs.
This year the festival will offer heart-pounding entertainment, delicious food for everyone and local
businesses can showcase themselves by being involved. Pasifika can give your business the chance to
be exposed to over 5,000 people through this day event. What other local promotion can give your
business this kind of exposure?
This year’s Pasifika promises to be just as spectacular as any other. Located in the same place, Bayview
& Raymond Tces (off Bailey Road) Deception Bay and starting at 9am, we want to offer your business the
opportunity to get involved. There are many ways to partner with Pasifika to promote your business from
simply donating funds or products and/or sponsoring any of the following:
• Volunteer food vouchers (80 @ $10pp)
• Portable toilets (16 @ $110 each)
• Stage (1 @ $2500. Dimensions 6m x 3m)
• Generators: either 2 x 1100w or 1 x 1870w
• Stage canopy marquee (10m x 5m)
• Marquees for shade (7 x approx. 6m x 6m).
